Dr. Averbukh is a senior manager for medical service organizations with many years of hospital management experience in Guinea, Angola and Israel. In September 2014, he became the CEO of the Luanda Medical Center in Angola, one of Vital Capital Fund’s portfolio companies, after serving for three years as CEO of the La Paz Medical Center in Equatorial Guinea. During his tenure in Guinea, Dr. Averbukh had overall responsibility for a €36 million budget and 390 employees, and initiated a broad range of new health services, including mass vaccinations, remote outreach, medical screening programs, advanced surgical procedures and medical tourism.  

Prior to his work in Guinea, Dr. Averbukh served as VP and Chief Medical Director of Bikurofe, Israel’s largest private chain of primary and urgent care clinics, after seven years as the owner of a primary care clinic. Dr. Averbukh also served as the Medical Director of the Preventative Medicine Institute of the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center.

Dr. Averbukh earned his M.D. from Hadassah Medical School and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He also earned a Masters in Health Administration from Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheba.
