UNCTD Launch of the 2018 Global Food Policy Report of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI)

Founding Partner, Eytan Stibbe, was invited to share Vital’s lessons on fusing agriculture production with social development at the UN Conference on Trade and Development and the IFPRI launch of their seventh annual Global Food Policy Report.

 

IFPRI’s 2018 Global Food Policy Report examines the impacts of global integration—including the movement of goods, investment, people, and knowledge—and the threat of current antiglobalization pressures.

Aldeia Nova case study in monitor Deloitte ‘Reaching Deep in low-income Markets’

Aldeia Nova was featured in a case-study based research effort led by Deloitte, “Reaching deep in low income markets: Enterprises achieving impact, sustainability, and scale at the base of the pyramid”.

The research was published by: Deloitte, MacArthur Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation and the Omidyar Network.

Their research finds for-profit enterprises are successfully serving low-income markets, achieving economic sustainability and scalability at the bottom of the pyramid.

Vital Capital Impact relief facility makes two new investments

We’re proud to report that B Magazine has named Vital Capital a Top 5 GIIRS-rated funds setting the gold standard in impact investing.

The independent nonprofit B Lab* created the GIIRS rating system to help fund managers assess and verify the impacts of their portfolio companies. The companies are scored based on their performance on the B Impact Assessment, which is administered by B Lab and incorporates IRIS metrics. Each fund then undergoes a verification process at B Lab to become a GIIRS-rated fund.
